Supervised visits provide a safe, supportive and non-threatening environment which allows children to develop and maintain relationships and contact with both parents.

The role of the staff is to oversee that the visits are pleasant and safe for the children. Staff will be in close proximately to the parent and children being supervised at all times. It is our intention that we be close enough to supervise conversations between parents and children. Our staff are required to intervene when they feel it is necessary. We appreciate that this may make parents feel uncomfortable at times; however, staff are required to do this to ensure the emotion and physical safety of the children.

Contact visits also facilitate and support the relationship between children and their parents or other significant family. TCCC provides information support and assistance to parents during their time with their children.
